Verlander has his 13th win and Peralta is a World Beater right now!

Good lord Justin Verlander is having a year.  If the Tigers could get another pitcher we might make the playoffs.  Maybe.

2nd Half Collapse of the Tigers Season has Begun!

Verlander started it off against the Chicago White Sox.  Brad Penny finally picked us up on Sunday, but it was because of an incredible comeback.  All the AL Central Teams are withing 5 games.  It's anybody's division.

Awesome Weekend for Baseball in Detroit!

So, I am Tiger's slappy.  Now that it's out in the open, I gotta say the Detroit Tiger's are playing some pretty good ball.  They took two out of three from the Arizona Diamondbacks and had a great couple days of weather as well.  Justin Verlander absolutely destroyed Arizona and set his MLB strikeout high to 14.  Incredible.  Sunday, the Tiger's retired Sparky Anderson's number (11).  Overall great weekend with the Tiger's taking 1st place away from the Indians outright.  I know it's not even the All-Star break, but I have optimism.

Verlander NOT an All Star?

Justin Verlander is having his best year so far.  His June is! amazing and he seems to be getting better.  Yesterday he 4 hit the Rockies, and gave up only 1 run in a complete game.  His 9th win of the year.  Still he may not be at the All Star Game.  How is this possible?  The Detroit Free Press is reporting that Jim Leyland will not change the rotation so Verlander can be in the All Star Game.  Verlander will pitch the day before the mid summer classic and by new MLB pitching rules, a pitcher can't pitch the day before.  He may get the recognition, but it's all about the winning the division and beating the Cleveland Indians for the Tigers, and I applaud that.  Damn refreshing boys
